Live Music with Canaan Cox!
About Canaan Cox:
Canaan Cox is a new and exciting country artist right out of Hendersonville, North Carolina. In addition to writing his own music, Canaan is a phenomenal multi-instrumentalist. “I grew up around music with my grandma’s out-of-tune piano, passing instruments along at family gatherings, singing at church, and sitting in with my moms band at bars”. Canaan’s style and unique vocal sound are influenced by a wide variety of bands. “Growing up with a huge music loving family, I was surrounded by a lot of different genres. Having seven sisters I heard my share of the 90’s Boy Bands, Mom cranked Lynyrd Skynyrd every chance she could, and Dad was absolutely in love with Conway Twitty. So when it comes to writing, I have a lot of influences to pull from”.
Canaan released his first album, Guitars and Girls, in 2012. Immediately, his songs began to trend and his ‘Canaanites’ following have begun adding up. With 1,000+ albums sold and streaming over 1,000 times on Spotify, iTunes, XBOX Music, and much more, the music didn’t stop there.
After releasing the album, Canaan immediately started demoing new music. With a couple months in the studio, Canaan released a new single, Summer, in the beginning of 2014. Summer instantly began to trend, getting him featured on one of the top music websites for upcoming artists, Reverbnation.
Writing away, he is eager to get back behind the microphone and give his ‘Canaanites’ some new tunes to crank.
